World Environment Day 2025 – Delfin Tours Leads a Clean-Up at Nairobi National Park
On 5th June 2025, in celebration of World Environment Day, Delfin Tours partnered with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) for a meaningful environmental clean-up exercise along the Nairobi National Park.
Covering a distance of 7 kilometers, our team, together with KWS officials and volunteers, engaged in collecting litter, removing non-biodegradable waste, and raising awareness about the importance of conservation and responsible tourism. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to sustainable tourism and preserving Kenya’s natural heritage for future generations.
Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism
At Delfin Tours, we believe that travel should benefit both people and the planet. Our participation in this clean-up is part of our ongoing CSR efforts to promote eco-friendly tourism practices. We aim to:
- Reduce our environmental footprint across all our operations
- Collaborate with local communities and conservation organizations
- Educate travelers on responsible tourism and wildlife conservation
- Support clean-up drives, tree planting, and community-led sustainability programs
Why It Matters
Nairobi National Park, being the only national park within a capital city, faces unique environmental pressures due to urban proximity. By taking action on World Environment Day, we are not only helping keep the park clean but also sending a message about the urgency of environmental responsibility in the tourism industry.
This initiative marks just one of the many steps we are taking to contribute to green travel in Kenya. As we continue to craft unforgettable safari experiences, we remain committed to ensuring that our impact on nature and local communities is a positive one.
